A Squarespace alternative that refuses to publish inaccessible pages

Why people go looking
Squarespace earns its reputation for polish. People start looking elsewhere when the questions get harder than looks: will this template work for a screen reader user, will the site hold up in an accessibility complaint, and why does every answer depend on which template you picked. Squarespace checks none of this at publish time; whatever the template does is what your visitors get.
What Windrow does differently
Windrow will not publish a page that fails a real WCAG 2.2 AA check. Not a warning you can dismiss: a gate. That covers alt text, labels, heading order, and contrast, and the things most tools never test, like whether the page reflows at 320 pixels and whether the focus indicator is visible on every background.
The rest of the stack keeps the same promise to your readers: share links with no third-party scripts, built-in newsletters with confirmed opt-in and no open tracking, and built-in analytics with no cookies and no fingerprinting. Do Not Track is honored for real.
And the standard equipment says the same thing: a skip link on every page, data tables that cannot publish without captions, audio that cannot publish without a transcript, plain-language summaries, your organization's own writing style suggested as authors type, and courses that never track a learner.
Where Squarespace still wins
Squarespace remains a fine choice for a quick, beautiful site where accessibility is nobody's requirement and the built-in commerce tools matter more than the rendered markup. Its template catalog is larger than ours and its ecommerce is deeper.
Who should switch, and who should stay
If you sell physical products through a large catalog, stay on Squarespace for now: commerce is not what Windrow does. If your site is your practice, your organization, or your writing, and "is it accessible" needs to be a yes instead of a shrug, that is exactly who Windrow is for.
Moving your site
There is no one-click importer, and we will not pretend otherwise.
